Hello Everyone,
Today we got to experience a new sport that we don't have in the United States. (Actually we have it but it is not very popular because we have baseball). It was cricket! It is similar to how we play baseball with some minor adjustments. At first it was hard for us to adjust swinging the bat low and throwing the ball without bending our arm when we bowl (that means pitch when referring to baseball). To score points the other team would either throw the ball outside of the bowling lane, or the batting team had to hit the ball, then run across the white line. You would get out if you hit the wicket either with the ball, or by your bat accidentally hitting the wicket. We had an awesome time learning and playing the game. Our team (with Courtney on it) won the game! Maybe your class can look into playing cricket sometime and be able to experience a new, fun game the way we did. We hope everything is going well in Wisconsin!
