Room 8 had a wonderful day yesterday that began with a roller-skating party at the Manitowoc Rollaire as an earned incentive for showing progress in math and reading. Our whole grade level boarded a school bus and arrived at the Rollaire for 2 hours of roller rink fun! You should have seen everyone go! There were kids who had never skated before and were trying their best to work on balance and coordination. It is like anything else one does for the first time. You fall down and you get back up and keep trying until you're eventually skating on your own.
It was the coldest day of the year! The windchill was down to about 15 degrees below zero! And we had a blast!
We were wondering if there are things you guys are trying for the first time that might seem very difficult at first. We love your photos and posts! Keep writing to us!
